Pete Evans Pizza | Book Review

I wanted to do a quick post today to tell you about a recipe book I’m really loving.

Five Spring Nail Polishes

I know there’s no official rules about wearing what colours on your nails when, but when the sun is shining there’s nothing I like more than grabbing out some spring shades to grace my fingertips. Here are the polishes I’ve been loving recently:

The Vintage Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush

I picked this Vintage Cosmetics eyeshadow brush in my February You Beauty Discovery Box. If I’m honest, I’ve spent a lot of time perfecting my brush collection for my face, so I have my perfect foundation brushes, favourite powder brushes, favourite blusher brushes and so on. However, I have not spent much time or money searching for eyeshadow brushes. So I was pretty excited about trying out the eyeshadow brush from Vintage Cosmetics.

2014 Beauty Wish List #2

Who was I kidding that the beauty wish list for 2014 would be able to be whittled down to just one post? I’ve spent so long creating a wish list every week for the whole year that things just ‘pop up’ out of nowhere! So here we go, part two…

Effaclar Duo+

When I got my hands on the Effaclar Duo+I was super duper excited to try it out. The original Effaclar Duo received a lot of positive press from a whole host of big beauty bloggers as the product that "saved their skin". When news hit about a new and improved product that was going to tackle even more of our skin concerns, I thought it was sure to be a hit.

Boots Health & Beauty Online Magazine | My Best Bits

I am a huge fan of the Boots Beauty and Health Magazine that you ick up in stores, it costs £1 or is free for Advantage Card holders. It's a fabulous freebie, it gives you fabulous ideas and its a good read for beauty lovers. Last month Boots launched an online version of the magazine and they are back again with a new edition. I just wanted to share this with you because I'm not sure who knows it exists! The Boots Online Magazine features content from the magazine in store but it's interactive, it's modern and it's pretty damn cool! You can watch videos and you can even shop products straight from the magazine.

I've included some pictures which feature some of my favourite bits from the magazine this month. There are some fantastic features and some even better products!

You can read the magazine online here: http://bootshealthandbeauty.com/mar-apr2014

Garnier Ultimate Blends First Impressions

I was sent these bottles of Garnier Shampoo, Conditioner and Oil a little while ago but I’ve been waiting for my current shampoo to run out before I gave them a little test. I’ve finally finished my old products up. I’ve used this set around three/four times since and I thought it would be good to share my first impressions with you all!

Boots Haul

When you nip into Boots for ‘essentials’ when there’s a 3 for 2 offer on it’s always going to be a dangerous affair! However, it wasn’t the makeup that caught me out, it was the skin and body care items!

Glossybox March 2014

I recently decided to opt for a six month subscription to Glossybox, I hadn't unsubscribed for a long time and I figured I'd just invest in order to save some pennies. There are all sorts of conspiracy theories to say that six monthly/yearly subscribers get the worst boxes but I figured it can't be all bad. My box arrived last night and I photographed it straight away to share it with you this morning (excuse the iffy photography!)

Garnier Hand Repair

If you follow me on social media or have just read a lot of my recent posts, you’ll know that I just bought a home. Which means a lot of decorating and a lot of sandpaper and carpet gripper related injuries. Chris has been suffering with dry hands the most, so I was just browsing Boots recently looking for something that would get them hydrated and heal them fast.

Home Wish List | Cushions

This may sound silly but I have a bit of a thing for cushions at the moment, I have a sofa, bed and guest bed to fill with cushions and everywhere I go they are well and truly catching my eye. It's quite possible that I need help, but in case you may too have a cushion fetish, here are some of my favourites.

You Beauty | March 2014

I ordered the You Beauty Box last month and I was so incredibly impressed by it’s value. I had planned for it to just be a one off but I completely forgot to cancel the subscription, so I ended up paying for and picking another box. The March theme for the box was ‘Best in British’ featuring the best brands from our very own country.

Tanya Burr Nail Polishes

As soon as I heard about Tanya Burr’s lips and nails launch I was really excited. I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for the Youtuber and I knew she’d most likely have fantastic collection on the way.

The products are in collaboration with Eye Candy, I brand I’d never heard of before now. A lot of people mentioned that in the past Eye Candy hasn’t been the best brand for innovation and quality, but I had to try them! I ordered two polishes, Little Duck and Bright and Early. There was a little delay in the polishes arriving as the collection had been ridiculously popular. I didn’t want to be blinded by the fact is was a Youtuber product and wanted to test it honestly and openly. I have to admit, I’m really impressed! I had never, ever used a pastel nail polish that performed as good as Little Duck. It covered, it was pigmented and it wasn’t streaky! Bright and Early was a stunning bright pink shade, which was definitely not subtle by any stretch of the imagination!  Both shades applied well, they dried super quickly and didn’t chip easily! I’m impressed and I’m nipping back for a further nail polish purchase!

Just Landed: Next Summer Collection

Yesterday Next sent me an email to say that they’d just released their brand new Summer collections and my heart got a little excited. It sounds pathetic, but I have a brand new home to kit out to fit with colour schemes and lovely things and so I ran straight to the website to check it out.

Birchbox Collaboration with Lulu Guinness

When Birchbox announced a collaboration with Lulu Guinness it was actually enough for me not to cancel my subscription. I was really excited to see what they would come up with. If I’m honest I was expecting a little more than a stripy sleeve on the box, I think they missed the chance to do something really cool. On the face of it, the early reviews left me pretty disheartened, the reviews certainly were not screaming success, but my box is here and I’m here to share the contents.

Lifestyle Post | Nuremberg

Last week I spent the week in Nuremberg on business. I was covering the Embedded World conference for the company I work for which left very little time for exploring. However, I did get a short chance to look around and I thought I'd share some pictures with you (mainly of food)!
