Emirates Air Line | Lifestyle & Travel

If you read my blog regularly you've probably heard me mention the Emirates Air Line before. A couple of weeks ago I had some time to kill in London so I figured I'd check out a couple of tourist attractions. With a bit of Googling I found Emirates Air Line a new addition to North Greenwhich. The Emirates Air Line is a ten-minute gondola lift which travels across the River Thames. It reaches 90 metres in the air and allows you to travel between the Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks. Whilst on the Emirates Air Line you can see great sights from around London, including The O2 and Canary Wharf.

I actually went on the Emirates Air Line on my own and the kind staff offered to take my picture and gave me a car all to myself. It's very weird being above the river in a little cable car and I can imagine that it can be a bit scary if you're afraid of heights. However the views when you're in the air are incredible and you can take some fantastic pictures.

It's operated by Transport For London, which means travelling on the Emirates Air Line is really cheap. It can cost as little £3.30 for an adult to ride on the Emirates Air Line, but for £10 you can get a round trip with includes a guide book and entrance to the Emirates Aviation Experience.
