The Best Stocking Fillers | Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas officially started here on Hope, Freedom, Love last month! Since November 15th I've been sharing the best gifts, releases, giveaways, and it's not over yet! You've seen my gift guide for her and my gift guide for him.. well now I'm back with one more edit. This one is the 'Best Stocking Fillers' gift guide and I'm sharing great gifts that really don't break the bank. So if you've got a Secret Santa, or you're doing Christmas on a budget, keep reading...

BODYCARE & PAMPER
Lets kick off this gift guide with the fantastic range of pamper themed gifts available this year!

First up I wanted to talk about Yardley London, as they have a huge Christmas range and their Nourishing Hand Cream Cracker* (£4 here) is fabulous! There are tons of crackers available this year, but this is definitely one of the cheapest on the market. The crackers come in two designs, which each have a different scent inside the box. Inside the cracker you get a tube of the Yardley London Nourishing Hand Cream. The hand cream is delicately scented in either Lavender or Rose, which are two of Yardley London’s best-selling scents.

Neom launched their 'Scent To Make You Feel Good' range, which is their special Christmas Collection for 2015. The whole range has been given a sprinkle of gold or platinum and it's focussing on enabling you to give a real therapeutic gift. The 'Three Nights Of Peace*' set, comes in a dinky little box, finished with a ribbon. Inside the box there are three mini bottles of the famous Neom bath oils and the is also access to the Neom Ultimate Sleep eBook (worth £9.99), which aims to give you practical advice on getting better quality sleep.

I've been banging on about the whole Christmas collection from Roger & Gallet as it's utterly gorgeous, the Roger & Gallet Christmas Crackers* (£6) come in at the budget end of the line up as they only cost £6! The crackers are all colour coded to the goodies they are hiding inside and they come in three scents. There's Fleur d'Osmanthus (here), Creme Sublime (here) and my personal favourite Fleur de Figuier (here). Inside the stunning floral packaging, there's a duo of products inside. First of all there's a tube of their best-selling hand cream and then as a little extra, there's a handbag sized perfume scent to match!

I've not seen this one in the flesh, but I wanted to give a quick mention to another fantastic beauty cracker; the Sleep Plus Cracker from this works (£12 here)! Hiding inside the blue festive cracker you'll find a bottle of the Sleep Plus+ Pillow Spray, which is the perfect for giving you instant relief from sleeplessness. I actually take the this works Pillow Spray on the plane with me when I travel, as it is great for helping me sleep.

I've spoken quite a lot about the limited edition NIVEA Creme 75ml Tins* (£1.99 here). They will appeal to everyone, young or old - and they will be a great addition to any Christmas present this year. Each special tin has been designed by artist Joelle Tourlanias, creating beautiful illustrations which will resonate with everyone at this time of year. What I love most about these special tins, is that inside the lid, there is a link to an online fairytale, written by children’s author Udo Weigelt. NIVEA hope that the four unique stories will encourage families to spend more time together, reigniting the magic of story time.

NAILS

Mavala's Christmas gifts are always popular with beauty fans and they are back again with their 'Cracking Duo' sets. The Cracking Duo sets come in six different colour variations. Each contain a duo of two complementary colour polishes, all you have to do is untwist the lid and get painting! This Cracking Duo in Deep Pink* (£9 here) includes the famous 'Ruby' shade and Velvet Prune which is a beautiful purple shade.

The next gift recommendation is the 'Favourites To Fall For' duo set from Essie (£12.99 here). I highly recommend the duo sets from Essie, I think they have great colour combinations and they offer a great saving off the normal retail value! These little duo sets retail for £12.99 and they have two full sized nail polishes inside. Which of course, is really good value as they are normally are priced at £7.99 each. The 'Favourites To Fall For' set has 'Bahama Mama' which is a gorgeous rich purple and 'Chinchilly' which is a really pretty slate grey.

A real nail polish bargain are the Glitter Gelly polishes* from Barry M (£3.99 here) .The famous Gelly Hi-Shine polishes from Barry M are back and this time they are packed with glitter; creating 'Glitter Gelly'. The Glitter Gelly polishes are limited edition for the Christmas season and they come in two shades; Sparkling Ruby (a glittery red) & Sparkling Amethyst (a glittery plum). The Gelly formula offers a hi-shine finish, a gel formulation and long lasting wear. The shades are both exclusive to Superdrug.

SKINCARE

This year, Green People have teamed up with The Woodland Trust, to create a range of beautiful gifts. The Limited Edition Facial Care Gift Collection* retails for £15.95, with 30p from every pack sold being donated straight to The Woodland Trust. It is decorated with an owl and inside you get three fabulous skincare products (the Rosemary & Sandalwood Facial Moisturiser, the Calendula & Geranium Facial Cleanser and the Mandarin & Bergamot Face Scrub).

MAKEUP

Glitter Rush* (£4.59 here) is one of the latest products from Barry M, they are little pots of glitter that you can apply to your face and body. The best bit is that you can use these glitter pots on-the-go as they come in really handy shaker pots. It means that no matter what happens, you won't end up with glitter all over the bedroom floor. Glitter Rush comes in two shades; Snow Globe (silver glitter) & Desert Bronze (bronze/copper glitter).

The other makeup item that I think would make an amazing stocking filler, is the Fleur de Force Eyeshadow Palette in Lunar Rose. I've raved about these palettes since they were launched earlier this year. What I personally love about the Lunar Rose palette, is that all the colours perfectly compliment my eye colour, so it really is the perfect quad. Inside the palette there are four shades, which you can use on their own, or build up for a full eye look. There's a dusty baby pink, a lovely rose gold, a shimmer rose and finally a mauve shade that has a hint of shimmer. The eyeshadows last really well on my skin, they actually happen to last all day and they blend beautifully.

LIFESTYLE

One of my fondest memories of being little, is opening my stocking to see it full of CDs! My Dad had bought my sister our first CD player and he’d got us everything from The Spice Girls to Oasis. I’m more of a digital music girl these days, but I can never resist putting a CD on that Christmas Wish List. My favourite album of the moment is Adele 25, I’m a big fan of Adele and it’s everything I imagined it would be!

Candles make fantastic gifts and my favourite this year is the Frosted Cranberry Scented Candle (£10 here) from The Body Shop. The candle comes in a generous 200g jar and it's scented with notes of cranberry, pomegranate and red berries. The candle comes packed in the classic Frosted Cranberry colours, featuring red and black stripes. However the candle inside is housed in a classic white jar, which means it will fit in with any decor.

I included this Selfie Stick* from IWOOT (£7.99 here) in my main Christmas Gift Guide, but I thought I’d give it a second mention here. I think it’s a very cheap present that can spark a lot of fun on Christmas Day, or at the work Christmas Party if you’re doing Secret Santa! If you’ve got a few quid spare in the budget, you could pair it with a few props and make a portable Photo Booth!

There's nothing better than a stocking filler which is a bit different! The English Breakfast Christmas bauble from Twinings (£10 here) contains 10 large-leaf loose tea pyramid teabags. There are actually three different colours and flavours to choose from, so there's bound to be something for everyone.
