Kale Fix Skincare from Nip + Fab

When Nip + Fab gave me the heads up that this range was on the way, I was SO intrigued. Nip + Fab are a brand who are so innovative and different, so I always love hearing about what is hitting the shelves next. Nip + Fab have just released the Kale Fix range, which is exactly what we all need for the winter months; something to protect our skin from the elements, whilst packing it with moisture.

The whole range uses the superfood of the moment - kale, yes KALE. The whole range is incredibly gentle and it is made to be incredibly nourishing. The products are packed with kale and watercress, which reinvigorate the skin, whist softening and hydrating dry skin. The range is made up of three products; the Kale Fix Clay Mask, the Kale Fix Make-up Removing Pads and the Kale Fix Moisturiser. Nip + Fab say that the whole range is ideal for those with dry or combination skin, so if you like what you hear, keep reading...

First up, we have the Kale Fix Make-up Removing Pads
This little pot of pads jumped straight on my bedside table, as soon as I opened the package. Inside the pot you get 60 pads that have been soaked with Kale Extract, which is packed full of antioxidants to protect your skin and leave it feeling plump. There is also Watercress which helps with moisture and hydration, plus Allantoin which is a chemical compound to encourage cell generation. You simply take a pad from the pot and rub it over your face. They smell really nice, just very clean and fresh, certainly not overpowering. The pad removes all makeup with ease, I've even tested this with waterproof mascara! I will say that the pads are quite small, so if I'm using these to remove a full face of makeup, I need at least two to get the job done. These retail for £13 from Nip + Fab here.

The next product is the Kale Fix Moisturiser
The Kale Fix Moisturiser is formulation to be a daily moisturiser, which helps soften dry skin. This time the product is formulated with Kale and Watercress, with the addition of Aloe Vera, Shea Butter and Almond Oil. The Aloe Vera and Shea Butter are both well known for their comforting properties, whilst Almond Oil contains fatty acids that help the skin lick in moisture. You can apply the moisturiser daily, both in the morning and in the evening to clean dry skin. This retails for £20 from Nip + Fab here.

The last product in the line is the Kale Fix Clay Mask
What I love about the Kale Fix Clay Mask, is that it's not crazy expensive, which makes it a great budget option. The Clay Mask is made with Kale and Watercress, with Witch Hazel and DuraQuench™ which is a innovative way to regulate water loss from the skin. The mask draws out the impurities in your skin, without striping away the moisture you need for your skin to survive the winter months.

The mask is quite thick in texture, so I warm it up a little before applying it to my face. It's a pretty neutral colour and it doesn't really have much of scent to it, it's just very fresh. To use the mask you simply put an even layer on your clean skin, like any other Clay Mask. Leave it for 5-10 minutes and then you can remove the mask with some lukewarm water. The mask leaves your skin feeling really soft and very smooth, which means it's gentle enough to use twice a week, to give yourself a boost of moisture. The mask retails for £13 from Nip + Fab here.

If you're interested in trying the whole of the Kale Fix range, you can actually buy the whole set in a bundle. The bundle is available from the Nip + Fab website for £35, which saves you over £10.

I'd love to know what your thoughts are on the Kale Fix range? What do you think about adding Kale into skincare?
