I’ve never been someone who has really dabbled that much into colour correction, but right now I’m utterly obsessed! I’ve tried the budget end of the spectrum and now I’m back with something a little bit fancy – the YSL Touche Éclat Neutralizers*. Now I have to be honest and say that I’ve never tried YSL Touche Éclat – I know, it’s a beauty blogger sin! However, I’m really excited to try these brand new variants, let’s take a look…
Now some colour correctors are all about thick consistencies, high pigmentation and matte finishes. The YSL Touche Éclat Neutralizers couldn’t be further from this, in fact you have to turn that whole idea completely on its head! Instead, these beautiful products are on a mission to achieve a perfect base, with much less effort! Of course, being YSL these beauties arrive in the classic gold YSL packaging. The packing of the neutralizers, is much like the classic Touche Éclat, but instead of the gold exterior, they match the colour of the product inside.
There are three colours in the collection and I have all three here to show you! There’s a lovely apricot, a green and a purple. Much like the traditional colour-correction palette, the green hue is designed to balance out red skintone, the apricot hue is designed to balance out purple skintone and the purple hue is designed to balance out yellow skintone. This means that you have a lovely collection, which can counteract anything your skin throws at you!
Now, as you would expect from the YSL Touche Éclat Neutralizers, these colour corrections are more of a highlighter consistency. You simply click the end of the pen to release the highlighting corrector and then brush it onto the area of concern. I’ve found that it instantly cancels and neutralizes the color imperfection, before blending invisibly into the skin. It has a really lovely lightweight formula, meaning that you actually apply it over or under your foundation – fantastic for pre-party top-ups!
The YSL Touche Éclat Neutralizers are available now, priced at £25.50 each. I’d love to know what you think of these, would you try them?
