The spa is located in St Albans and it’s actually inside a leisure centre, which definitely feels a little bit different (especially when it’s half term and the whole place is buzzing). However, once you’re on the ‘spa floor’ you completely forget where you are and instantly get that sense of calm. We had to fill out a quick form, before being greeted with our robes and slippers. On the top floor of the spa you’ll find the changing rooms, treatment rooms and a large relaxation room. However, downstairs is where the real magic is, with an aroma steam room, hydro spa pool and a Kelo sauna. It is quite a compact spa, but there was only 10-12 people there with us, so it didn’t feel too busy.

I was actually pretty impressed with the choices available, as you can choose from a facial, massage, full body scrub, manicure or pedicure. I opted for the massage, which was actually my first ever Swedish Massage. I do to admit that the Swedish Massage was quite the experience – the masseuse was incredible and really worked out a lot of my aches and pains – but it certainly hurts quite a bit! However, that being said, I was feeling right as rain less than 24 hours after - so the 25 minutes of pain was 100% worth it!
