Real Techniques Sponge Collection | Everything you need to know

I’ll save you my usual speech about Real Techniques – yes I’m a huge fangirl, yes I need everything they make, yes I’m addicted. Real Techniques are literally going from strength to strength and it’s pretty damn hard to keep up! Hot on the heels of the incredible MultiTech launch (read all about it here), they’ve expanded their sponge collection with a whopping EIGHT new products.

I’m here to give you the FULL low down on everything sponge shaped. So yes, if you’re a makeup sponge hoarder, you’re going to want to keep reading! Beware, this is one HUGE photo-filled blog post, so grab yourself a cuppa and get comfy…

Perfect and sculpt: 2 miracle sponges*
I think I’m right in saying that these sponges were both released around Christmas time, but they’ve been repackaged in this handy set! Inside the box you get two sponges and two stands to keep them safe.

There is the miracle sculpting sponge which is a sponge that can be used damp for a glow, or dry for a full coverage finish. Use the different angles of the sponge to create shadows and highlight. The miracle mini eraser sponge is perfect for correcting little mistakes, whether it’s a misplaced mascara sponge, or some fallout from eyeshadow, this handles it with ease! The 2 miracle sponges are available now priced at £14.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

4 miracle blotting cushions*
As someone with oily skin, I’m a bit of a blotting maniac, you’ll never find me without blotting paper in my bag, so I’m chuffed with these!

These are multifunctional miracle blotting cushions, which you can use in a multitude of ways – all of which give you a smooth, mattified finish. You simply use them dry and use them to dab on foundation, smooth creases, or blot oily areas. The 4 miracle blotting cushions are available now priced at £8.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

4 miracle contour wedges*
These pink blobs are aptly named ‘contour wedges’ and are designed to make contouring simple and easy. There are three ‘sides’ to the wedge: there’s a pointed tip for application, there are domed sides for blending and a flat round to buff it into the skin.

You can use them damp with creams or dry for powders. I’m personally finding them a little bit small for powder application, so I personally prefer to use them damp with my cream products. The 4 miracle contour wedges are available now priced at £9.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

4 mini miracle complexion sponges*
These are another product that featured in the Christmas gift sets and I’m super glad they’ve been released in this handy pack!

These 3-in-1 multifunctional mini miracle complexion sponges are tiny, so they are fantastic for your travel makeup bag. They are also fantastic for the smaller, more detailed makeup jobs. Simply damp the sponge and use anywhere on the skin, for a smooth and natural-looking finish. The 4 mini miracle complexion sponges are available now priced at £7.99 from realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

The dual-ended expert sponge*
This dual-ended expert sponge doesn’t just look cute (I’m obsessed)! This one is designed for medium to heavy application coverage, with two handy different sides.

The sponge can be used damn or dry, so it can be used with both powder and liquid makeup. You simply use the orange side of the sponge to apply foundation and the pink side is designed for contour, highlight, or blush. The two sides have been designed to help you cover the skin and add colour, easily with one single sponge – genius! The dual-ended expert sponge is available now priced at £5.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

Miracle cleansing sponge*
This miracle cleansing sponge is potentially one of my favourite launch from the whole collection! I use flat sponges like this on my skin all the time, but I’ve never had one that is egg shaped and I’m super excited about it!

This one has been designed to prep the skin, exfoliating away dirt and oil, leaving the skin smooth and ready for flawless application. The shape is designed to reach all contours of the face, meaning no skin goes unloved! Simply use with favourite facial cleanser, I also love using this to remove face masks! The miracle cleansing sponge is available now priced at £5.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

Miracle face + body sponge*
Don’t be fooled into thinking this looks like the normal original sponge, it is in fact a GIANT miracle sponge, designed to be used on the face and body!

The Real Techniques team advise using this giant sponge for streak-free application of highlighters, bronzers, and body makeup. It has a flat edge for contouring and highlighting, and a tip for precision application – so it fits all your body curves and contours! The miracle face + body sponge is available now priced at £7.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

Miracle finish sponge*
Last but not least, we have the miracle finish sponge which is the sponge for the blusher fans!

You use this sponge to create a perfect for a natural-looking, airbrushed application of blush. Simply dampen the sponge and use it to bounce the blusher onto the skin, it makes light work of blending cream and liquid blusher. It leaves a lovely light, airbrushed finish on the cheeks and I’m utterly obsessed with it! The miracle finish sponge is available now priced at £5.99 at realtechniques.com, Boots, and Superdrug.

Are you lost in sponge heaven? I certainly am! Wow, what a collection! I’ve had so much fun playing with all these sponges and I have to say, I’m loving so many of them. My favourites are the miracle blotting cushions, the mini miracle complexion sponges, the Miracle cleansing sponge and the miracle finish sponge. I’d love to know what you think of this collection, will you be adding any of them into your collection?
