Now, like with all the MERUMAYA products, a lot of clinical research and fantastic ingredients have gone into the new Youth Preservation Moisturiser. This blog post might get a little scientific, but I’ve tried to make this as simple as possible. To achieve this wonderful cream, Maleka created a formula which is full of complementary products which all provide hydration, deep into the skin. The moisturiser starts with Hyaluronic Acid, which we all know has fantastic moisturisation properties. MERUMAYA are the only brand who are using three different weights of Hyaluronic, which ensures that the skin holds water effectively both at the surface and through the epidermis and dermis. The moisturiser actually makes use of Primal Hyal 300 (a low molecular weight of Hyaluronic Acid), which sinks deep into the skina and actually neutralises the bacterial in the skin, preventing the spots which are normally caused by the invasion of the pores. In additional to the Hyaluronic Acid, the moisturiser includes Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which give your skin the plump, full feeling that young skin has. The spheres even out the surface of your skin and providing a smooth finish to the skin.
If all that wasn’t enough, the moisturiser is strengthened by two further ingredients which help the skin to gather and retain moisture. The first is Dansonyl, which is rich in polysaccharides, to normal people like you or me, this means that it is clinically tested to give an immediate and long lasting effect based on water capture. The second is Moistureplex Advanced, which is a blend of amino acids, which capture and hold water at the skins surface.
I could quite happily stop the review there as I’m sure you’re all thinking that this sounds fantastic. However, there is more to tell you about! On top of all the hydrating ingredients Maleka added RevitElix to the Youth Preservation Moisturiser. This is a Echium oil which is rich in Omega 3, 6 & 9, these omegas are really important for reducing lines and wrinkles, improve elasticity and repairing the barriers of the skin. There’s also Mangosteen, which is a fruit extract rich in anti-oxidant protection. Anti-oxidants are really important in skincare, as they provide support for skin cells to undo the damage done by the everyday environment. Finally, the moisturiser is enriched by SPF20, which will act as a daily-defence to prevent skin from premature skin ageing such as wrinkles, pigmentation and uneven skin tone.
Now with all these ingredients, you won’t be surprised that this moisturiser feels incredible on the skin. I actually received this just before I went on a 12 flight and I decided it was a good time to give this a real test. You may have spotted me singing it's praises from high in the air (mind blown)! It felt amazing throughout the flight and it really kept my skin looking plump and hydrated. The new Youth Preservation Moisturiser is exactly what I need at this time of year! My skin has a habit of getting very dry, but too much oil and grease can cause my skin to breakout and suffer even further.
