Summer Trend Collection From KIKO

KIKO are really killing it at the moment and their summer collection is fit for any makeup addict. The new KIKO MILANO trend collection is a collaboration with designer Ross Lovegrove, who designed the packaging. The new, limited-edition summer collection is inspired by travel, giving you all the travel companions you need this summer. If you missed my review of the Desert Moon Highlighter, which is also from this collection, you can catch up here. Today I'm taking a wider look at the collection, so keep reading if you don't know what you want to buy!

The beautiful pattern on the packaging is inspired by KIKO’s DNA, Ross Lovegrove says it’s a combination of elegance, sensuality, femininity, breeziness and usefulness. He says that the curvy lines are inspired by the female body and the three-dimensional design helps to reflect light from the pattern.

There is a HUGE range of products including a foundation, a DD cream, eyeshadow, volume-boosting mascara. There are a range of shiny, bold lipsticks, blushers, bronzers, a highlighter, a Wanderlust clutch and two fragrances. Here's a closer look at some of the lovely items from the collection. The Wanderlust Clutch* is unlike any other makeup bag I have in my stash, it's a hard outer case which opens up. Inside there's a reasonable amount of space, so you can easy fit a couple of brushes and some products to touch up makeup on the go.

The Desert Dunes Baked Trio Blush* combines three blusher shades in one handy compact. So you can either combine all three shades together or use the colours individually. The baked blusher is created and formulated with Vitamin and Jojoba Oil, which creates a colour that is silky and nourishing for the skin. As with all KIKO products, the colour is really pigmented and it lasts really well on the skin. Like with the rest of the collection, the compact is finished in rose gold and topped with the KIKO logo. The product is also scented with vanilla.

The doubled ended item you see above is the In The Shade Eyeshadow & Kajal*. These are available in six different shade variations and I have the option named Emerald & Petrol Green. Just like all the other eyeshadow products I've tried from KIKO, these are extremely pigmented. Once you apply them they set and they give you some extreme hold, it was a nightmare trying to get the swatch off my arm (see below)! I love that the pencil is very simple, finished with two gold lids.

I don't even like lipstick but I'm utterly obsessed with the packaging on this Mirage Lip Stylo*! It's finished beautifully with rose gold, covered in the lovely Wanderlust pattern and it closes with a very satisfying magnet. These lipsticks are super pigmented, with lots of lovely bold colour options. It applies really well, with a creamy shiny finish and it's very comfortable to wear. I have the shade 05 which is called Desire Strawberry, sure you check out the swatches below!

As well as the lipsticks, there is a range of KIKO Lip Oils*, which is a very popular concept at the moment! These sheer lip oils are scented with coconut, vanilla and grapefruit, it's a light formula that leaves a glossy finish. The Lip Oil is formulated with jojoba oil, shea butter, wild mango butter and vitamin E. The oil is really easy to apply and it leaves your lips feeling glorious!

Last but not least we have the Oasis Sunset fragrance* which has been inspired by "the purity of crystal-clear springs and the appeal of endless sunsets". It's a really light fragrance which has notes of; jasmine tea, freesia and rose, finished with sandalwood and musk. The bottle itself is really simple and it's finished with the Wonderlust pattern on the lid, which I just love!

I've swatched the products in the picture below, from left to right we have the In The Shade Eyeshadow & Kajal, the lipstick and the lip oil. The KIKO Summer Trend Collection won't be available forever, so if you like the look of something get to a store or place an order ASAP!
