Perfect Brows In A Flash | Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil

When my beloved Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil reached the end of it’s life, it was time to try something new. Luckily it wasn’t a long search to find the next thing on my radar. The Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil is a new formula, which combines powder and wax in a handy pencil.

The pencil comes in the classic Hourglass packaging, covered in the beautiful bronze finish. The Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil has two ends; one end has the eyebrow pencil and the other has a handy brush to keep your brows in place. The pencil itself is a triangle shape, which allows you to use it in lots of different ways. The flat edge allows you to fill in the thickest part of your brows, using broad strokes. The pointed tip allows you to fill in the sparse areas with fine lines.

I opted for the shade Soft Brunette, which happens to be a really nice colour match for me. I’ve found that the powder and wax combination allows me to fill in my brows with ease. The pencil is soft enough to apply without dragging on your skin, but not too soft that you end up applying too much product. It’s easy to blend with the brush and it’s clear up mistakes during application, but after the product sets it stays there all day.

Comparing this to the Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil is quite straightforward really. To me, the Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil offers a quicker application, with the option to add some detail if needed. The Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil is a much slower application, as it has a finer tip, but it allows you to be very precise with your brows. You can pick up the Hourglass Arch Sculpting Brow Pencil from Space NK and Liberties for £25.
