The Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator from Laura Geller | Autumn Edit

I'm continuing my Autumn Edit today and giving you a closer look at my highlighter of choice this season. I love a good highlighter all year round, they are completely a huge weakness of mine. The good news is that dewy skin is not just for summer and actually the trend is not disappearing with the sun. The catwalks favored that famous cheekbone glow and it's all about dewy and glowing skin this season! I tend to swap my glitter packed highlighters, for those that give you that "glowing from within" sheen.

I wanted to talk to you a little more about this gorgeous highlighter from Laura Geller, which is now stocked at Escentual. Officially this is the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade Ballerinaand I'll be honest, my heart does skip a beat as it's just gorgeous to look at. The stunning swirl is made to mimic the swirl of Gelato, taking us all back to sweet memories of eating ice cream at the beach.

The highlighter comes in a little tiny compact, which is black on the bottom with a clear lid that lets the beauty shine through. The texture of the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator is really beautiful, it's very buttery and it blends effortlessly. It does have a little bit of fallout in the pan, but it's not a problem as you apply it to your skin. You simply use this like you would any other highlighter; applying wherever the sun naturally hits your face (cheekbones, nose, cupids bow).

When you swatch this highlighter, you can see some very small glitter pieces. It means that gives your skin a very pretty glow and sheen, without being overloaded with glitter and shimmer. The shade is a lovely golden shade, which gives your skin some gorgeous warmth, which is lovely for giving you skin a lease of life. What I love is that this highlighter gives you that lovely "glowing from within" sheen, it's actually impossible to swatch as the effect is so subtle and pretty. This finish is just what you need when your skin starts to lack it's oomph as winter takes it's toll.

I can imagine that these highlighters would make very pretty blush/highlighter hybrids, as the colour payoff is really lovely, it would be lovely in the summer! I honestly think these are heaven in highlighter form! You can pick up the Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator from Escentual here for £21.
