Afternoon Tea | Radisson Blu London

Earlier this month I visited London with my friend Amber for Afternoon Tea to celebrate her 21st birthday. We looked at a few options and in the end settled for Radisson Blu. Radisson Blu have a few hotels around London where you can enjoy Afternoon Tea, including Leicester Square, Canary Whalf and Bloomsbury, but Amber and I decided to visit Covent Garden.

We booked our table for 3pm and travelled by Tube. The hotel is just a short walk from the station, so it's easy to get to. When we arrived at the hotel the staff were lovely and wished Amber Happy Birthday which was good of them, they showed us to our table and bought us water and Prosecco.

We waited maybe 10-20 minutes before Tea was served which was lovely as it gave us time to chat and for Amber to open her presents.

The Tea itself was beautifully presented, we had four finger sandwhiches which were really reasonably sized. The fillings were Salmon and Cream Cheese, Cream Cheese and Cucumber, Egg Mayonnaise and Ham. They were really scrummy!

On the next level we had scones with jam and clotted cream, which looked small to begin with but were very filling and still warm which was a nice touch!

On the cake level we had a variety of sweet options, many of which I'm not sure what they were and the website just says "An assortment of British Cakes and Pastries" so it remains a mystery! However there was meringue with cream, chocolate brownie, lemon drizzle cake and a few other bits.

It all tasted fantastic and was really enjoyable. They also bought over a teapot of tea on request. We definitely didn't feel rushed, they just left us to our own devises, in fact we had to signal to them that we were finished and would like the bill as they wasn't clearing the table. It was lovely just to sit and chat away.

The Afternoon Tea was fairly well priced, just £19.50 a head, so it was pretty good. I throughly recommend Radisson Blu if you fancy afternoon tea in London. You can book using the links below!
