Bare Minerals BAREPRO Performance Foundation | New In

When it comes to high end foundations, I have well and truly been converted! I really used to think that there was no point investing in the high-end products, as the high street finds really did everything I needed. Whilst it is true and the high street is fantastic, there really is a step up when you try something from a high-end brand. Until the Bare Minerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation* popped through my door, I’d only ever tried Bare Minerals powder foundations. So, I was pretty hyped to give this a go and in this blog post, I’ll share why you should be too! 

The Bare Minerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation is a new clinical innovation form the Bare Minerals brand. It’s a formula they are very proud of and claim that the formula is so pure, that you could even sleep in it! Whilst I’ve not given the sleep test a go myself, I can report that I’m very impressed with this new beauty! The Bare Minerals BAREPRO Performance Wear Liquid Foundation uses their “Mineral Lock” formula, designed to offer 24 hours of coverage. The technology mimics the natural lipids in your skin, which means they adhere to your complexion and stay in place. Bare Minerals proudly claim that the foundation is water, sweat, heat, humidity and transfer-resistant. For once, this isn’t just a claim, I truly have noticed that this foundation does wonders at staying in place longer than others on my dressing table. 

The foundation itself is a lovely breathable and creamy finish, which leaves a matte effect on the skin. It’s really comfortable to wear all day and it really blends perfectly for me and just looks like skin! This is certainly helped by the colour range, which offers 30 true-to-you shades to compliment every skin type and tone. For once I wasn’t the lightest shade on the spectrum, which really is rare for me.

The reason Bare Minerals say you could sleep in this foundation is due to its caring ingredients – it really is a blend of skincare and makeup. The ingredients include Papaya Enzymes (which help to exfoliate and improve skin’s texture), Bamboo Stem Extract (which gives the skin a blurred, soft-focus effect), mineral pigments (which blur imperfections), SPF 20 and iron oxide (which enhances colour staying power). On top of all of this lovely stuff, the foundation is even oil-free, fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested.

The new foundation is launching with a lovely Luxe Performance Brush* which was designed specifically for this formulation. It offers a unique shape which was designed specifically to blend around difficult areas like your nose and eyes, mimicking the finesse and precision of fingertips.
