If you can cast your mind back to January 2016, you may remember the launch of the Rosie For Autograph makeup collection. It was Rosie’s first ever cosmetic line and it was officially available to purchase from Marks & Spencer. It sent the beauty world a little bit mad, because not only did it look gorgeous (we’re talking rose gold packaging), but it was Marks & Spencer’s first step into real quality makeup. The collection initially launched with 51-pieces, pulling together Rosie’s years of experience spent in the modelling industry and her own distinct beauty aesthetic.
Unlike some celebrity endorsements, the collection was developed closely with Rosie, using internationally-renowned cosmetic manufacturers Intercos to create the collection. Whilst the collection has grown and evolved over the last 18 months, I wanted to take a look today at some of the original releases. The collection was created for those of us with fast-paced lifestyles, who really bring the “on-the-go” to a whole new level. The Rosie For Autograph Cream Eyeshadow Sticks* allow you to do exactly that.
The Rosie For Autograph Cream Eyeshadow Sticks arrive in sleek glossy black boxes, which are finished with rose gold detailing. When you pop open the box, you find an eyeshadow stick casing, which is finished in a gorgeous metallic rose gold pigment. When you pop off the lid, the inside of the eyeshadow stick is black, which you then twist up to dispense the pencil.
The pencil is a really lovely texture, it glides on to the eyes so smoothly and the formula feels like butter. I simply draw it onto the lid and then take a small fluffy brush to blend out the edges. You’re left with a really lovely metallic finish on the skin, which you can use it on its own, or with the rest of your eyeshadow layered on the top. I find that the eyeshadow isn’t sticky or tacky and lasts all day on my oily eyelids without creasing or slipping.
You cannot deny that these eyeshadows are packaged beautifully and I was pleasantly surprised with how well they performed. Of course, as you’d expect from Marks & Spencer, none of the products in Rosie’s collection nor their ingredients have been tested on animals. You can shop the full Rosie For Autograph Beauty Collection at Marks & Spencer, prices start at £8.
