The Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder gets some rave reviews from beauty bloggers (me included), thanks to its effortless strobing abilities that leave you glowing. These new products combine that glow, with the blusher pigment, to create glowing from within colour. Think those famous Maxfactor blushers, but on steroids… yep! As you would expect from Hourglass, it creates a beautiful airy product, with the glow and colour lots of us crave!
Colour wise, I would say that these are more pigmented than the original Hourglass blushers. So you do just need a light hand to make these work for an everyday makeup look. Of course you can build and build, to blend the colour to create something a little more punchy. Like with all the other Hourglass products, these are created using the “miscelare technique” which means that no two blushers look the same.
There are three different shades in this collection, but I have Euphoric Fusion which Hourglass describe as a “soft lilac blush blended with Euphoric Strobe Light for a resplendent glow”. In the swatch below you can see that it’s a lovely swatch of plum, which just looks beautiful on the skin. Don’t be put off by the lack of ‘shimmer’ – this beauty glows without the glitter! As with all the other Hourglass products, this product uses ‘transparent particles’ which alter the appearance of the skin by manipulating and refracting favourable light. This means that you get a lovely smooth and even finish on the skin!
If you hadn’t already guessed, I’m completely captivated by this Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush and I can’t wait to add more to my collection. It is on the pricey side, but it’s worth consider that they last forever and the quality is beautiful.
