2017 has definitely been the year of the cushion – not the fluffy sofa kind, but more the creamy foundation kind. So as soon as I saw the brand-new foundations from Clarins, I jumped at the chance to try them! The new Everlasting Cushion Foundation is one of two new formulations from Clarins this month and I’m pleased to show them both to you today.
The Clarins Everlasting Foundation is well loved by Clarins fans, so the Clarins team have created two new adaptable, long-wearing textures. The first is the new Everlasting Cushion Foundation SPF 50* and the second is the Everlasting Compact Foundation SPF 9*, which both have been created for on-the-go, long-lasting application.
Let’s kick things off with the Everlasting Cushion Foundation, which Is just one of the prettiest compacts I’ve seen for a while. The cushion arrives in a white compact, which is finished with a gold trim and a simple Clarins logo. The compact holds 15ml of foundation, which has been designed to even and correct the skin tone. As we’ve come to expect from cushion products, the Everlasting Cushion Foundation formulation is really lovely and lightweight. It allows the skin to breathe, whilst still covering dark spots and imperfections, leaving you with a flawless coverage.
The ingredients of the Everlasting Cushion Foundation include organic quinoa extract, which helps to maintain the skin’s moisture levels leaving skin looking plump and healthy. It has also been enriched with Clarins’ Anti-Pollution Complex and SPF 50, which both protect the skin from damage. There are six shades in this collection, which are all very light, so hopefully Clarins expand the colour range soon!
I personally struggle to use powder foundations on their own, but I love using products like the Everlasting Compact Foundation to set my makeup in place. The beautiful Everlasting Compact Foundation arrives in the signature gold Clarins packaging, which always feels really swanky. The Everlasting Compact Foundation has been designed to blurs and minimise imperfections. The formulation is very long-wearing and it offers an ultra-matte finish for the skin.
The ingredients combine bamboo powder and the Clarins High Fidelity System+, which both work to hide imperfections and dark spots. Whilst the addition of a Light-Optimizing Complex, works to capture and diffuse light. Just like it’s new sister product, the Everlasting Compact Foundation uses organic quinoa extract to keep the skin hydrated and plump, whilst using anti-pollution techniques and SPF 9 to protect the skin.
Both these lovely new foundations are available from the 24th September 2017, the Everlasting Cushion Foundation is priced at £31 for the compact and the refills will retail for £23. The Everlasting Compact Foundation will also retail for £31.
