Four questions for Nanshy | The Vegan Brush Brand

I love learning about new brands, especially smaller brands that have a fantastic story to tell! Nanshy is one of my more recent brands, who specialise in creating brushes that feel luxurious, but still have anti-bacterial and cruelty-free bristles. They have been designed to fit comfortably in the hand and can be used with mineral, liquid and cream make-up. I wanted to know a little bit more about the brands history, so I recently caught up with Damian Krzyżanowski (Managing Director at Nanshy) and asked him four questions about Nanshy. Here’s the low down with everything you need to know… 

When was Nanshy founded?
Nanshy was launched in 2012 by Paula Pokora.

What is the aim for the Nanshy?
Paula has struggled to find good quality and affordable brushes for every day use. Most affordable brands she has tried in the past have been either scratchy or given her an allergic reaction. Paula realised there must be more people just like her. This resulted in many hours being spent researching and sampling various makeup brushes from many different suppliers. After finding the right fibres the first set was developed - Gobsmack Glamorous. The Gobsmack Glamorous features five brushes: Flawless Foundation, Buffed Base, Blush and Bronze, Conceal Perfector and the Angled Airbrush.

What is unique about Nanshy?
All of our brushes are synthetic and Vegan. Nanshy is a proud member of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals – PETA.org and is against cruelty to animals. Nanshy is also suitable for all skins types. 

What is Nanshy’s best selling product?
The best selling product is the Masterful Collection. This features a specialised design with 12 distinctive makeup brushes for creating elegant and effortless looks. The Masterful Collection is £49.95 includes the following makeup brushes:
