The Valentines Day Gift Guide | 2017

Whether you like it or not, February is the month of love! With Valentines Day just around the corner, I've got several gift ideas to share with you all. I've searched high and low on the hunt for the best gifts to give. So whether you're shopping for your wife, girlfriend, friend or even yourself - I've got something for you.

Fragrance gifts
Let’s kick things off with beauty and talk about fragrance! Until recently I had no idea that KORRES had it’s own range of fragrance, but I’m here to tell you it’s gorgeous! There are three different scents which are a synthetic-free and inspired by nature, each developed with a different leading perfume house! Instead of given the scents weird and wonderful names, they are simply named by their notes. There’s PEONIA / VANILLA / AMBER / PEAR* (£30 here), WHITE TEA / BERGAMOT/ FREESIA* (£30 here) and finally there’s something for the guys - SAFFRON/ AMBER/ AGARWOOD/ CARDAMOM* (£36 here). What I love about these, is that they feel special, as they are not just your everyday fragrance (and they don’t break the bank)!

Bath and body gifts
Moving onto bath and body, I have LOADS of lovely things to suggest ! First up we have two World Duty Free exclusives, which are perfect if you want to grab a bargain gift in the airport! The Benefit First Class Faves Set* (£21.50 here) is perfect for ladies on the go, or someone who hasn’t experienced Benefit as a brand! Inside the box you’ll find 6 first-class faves, including Chachatint, POREfessional PRO balm, Dandelion radiance liquid, Dandelion powder blush,  Roller Lash and the Total moisture facial cream. The second gift is the Cacharel Anais Anais My First Kiss Set* (£22.85 here). This set is perfect for Valentines Day as it’s a pretty feminine fragrance (Anaïs Anaïs L’Original 30ml), a 50ml body lotion and a little mini lipgloss, so cute!

The Rituals handcare collection is brand new and would make a fantastic gift! The hand creams have been created to give your hands some extra love, care and attention. The Ritual of Ayurveda Hydrating Hand Lotion* (£9.50 here) hydrates your hands and absorbed quickly into the skin. If you’re looking for more of a novelty beauty gift, you should check out the Jelly Belly Lip Balms* (available at Claire's) which are fun and fruity flavoured lip balms, which a creamy formula. They are inspired by our favourite Jelly Beans so there’s something for everyone from Very Cherry, to Berry Blue!

For skincare I have a couple of great products from DHC! The new DHC Q10 Mask* (£4.50 here) from the cult Japanese beauty brand, breaks tradition by revealing your best skin. For less than a fiver you get a mask that firms and moisturises the skin, with a vitamin-packed sheet mask – it even targets fine lines and wrinkles and elasticity loss. Another fabulous product is their Eye & Lip Make Up Remover* (£11 here) which removes eye makeup with ease, using cork tree extract to condition the skin.

Makeup gifts
Moving onto makeup and there are a lot of fantastic products to choose from! KIKO have a full Valentines Day collection, which will make any makeup fan weak at the knees! There is the KIKO Multicolour Blush* (£9.95 here), which is a three colour blusher, which has a matte buildable finish. When you open the compact you find three different colours of blusher, which are held in two heart shapes. The Heart Shaped Lipstick* (£6.95 here) is something really special, not only is it packaged beautifully, but when you open the bullet you’re greeted by a perfect heart shaped product. It looks utterly beautiful and it’s be honest, it’s pretty photogenic too!

Next up we have some brand new lipsticks from Max Factor. The Velvet Matte Lipstick Collection* (£7.99 here) have a dense matte finish, with a creamy moisturising formula, but it’s been designed completely differently to your traditional matte lipstick. Instead of packing the matte lipstick with additional powders or solids, Max Factor swapped the normal reflective pigment and replaced it with CF Mica, to create a lipstick that glides on the lip.

If you fancy a lipstick from another brand, you should check out Mary Kay. The new Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick* (£13 here) uses gel microsphere technology for rich, stay-true colour that lasts for hours. There are 8 beautiful shades to choose from, so it’s easy to find something perfect for your loved one. If you’re looking for a pretty eyeshadow palette, Mary Kay also have the Pure Dimensions Eye Palette* (£28 here). Which features four pretty shades, each embossed beautifully, they are gorgeous! The powders have very little fallout and the pigmentation is incredible! To finish the eye look, your loved one will need the DHC Gel Pencil Eyeliner EX* (£9.50 here), which is a non-smudge eyeliner which combines the precision of a pencil with the smoothness of a gel.

Lifestyle gifts
My last section in this gift guide is all about lifestyle gifts, which I actually think is my favourite category! My favourite gift from everything in this section is the Chocoholic Afternoon Tea at the Hilton on Park Lane* (£49 here from BuyAGift). It’s a fabulous afternoon tea in the middle of London, which has everything a chocoholic needs! From chocolate tea, to chocolate scones, to a set of cakes presented on a chocolate plate – the gift voucher from BuyAGift, makes it easy to surprise someone! You could even present the voucher with this Godiva Chocolate Heart Box* (available at World Duty Free), it’s the perfect duo gift!

If they are a candle fan, I highly recommend looking for something indulgent from Jo Malone. My favourite scent is English Pear and Freesia (£42 here) which just smells beautiful, especially during Spring. If you want something a little different you should check out Diptyque (available here) which are raved about beauty gurus worldwide.

As I mentioned at the start of the gift guide, we don’t really do big presents for Valentines Day, but I love to find something small and cute to gift Chris. This Personalised Sketched Slate Hanging Heart* (£5.99 here), is super sweet. You pop in two initials and a special date (I selected my anniversary) to be printed onto the front of the slate heart. This is such a lovely touch for any anniversary, wedding or engagement – it can hang on the wall with any décor and fit right in!

The ‘You Are My Sunshine Dish’ (£5 here) and the ‘You’re My Favourite Human’ (£4 here) hanging decoration are both from Paperchase, they are both so sweet and let your loved one know you’re thinking of them. Finally I had to include some dog themed gifts, the Oliver Bonas Dog Trinket (£9.50 here) is just so delicate and sweet, where as the Ohh Deer Frenchie Kisses (£3.50 here) has a more jokey feel to it!

I really hope you loved these gift ideas, let me know which one is your favourite in the comments below! Happy Valentines Day for next week!
