Today I'm sharing my recipe for Double Death by Chocolate Cookies.
For the ingredients you will need:
150g of self-raising flour
25g cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda
60g caster sugar
60g light brown muscovado sugar
115g unsalted butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
75g of nuts, walnuts/hazelnuts/pecans
175g of chocolate chips (your choice, I used half dark and half white)
Method:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
- Sift flour, chocolate powder, bicarbonate of soda and both sugars into a bowl
- Add the soft butter
- Beat the egg and vanilla in a seperate bowl or cup until frothy and then add to the other bowl with the nuts and chocolate
- Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until combined
- Use a rounded tablespoon to spoon the mixture for each cookie onto a lined baking tray, leave room for the mixture spreading out
- Bake for 10 minutes until set firm - they will continue cooking as the cool
- Leave to cool completely before eating
